We attend a lot of shows throughout the year to sell books and connect with consumers, but the Mother Earth News Fair in Seven Springs, PA is one of our favorite shows every year.

The Mother Earth News Fair team knows how to put on a great fair! You get fantastic sustainability-minded speakers, hundreds of vendors, hands-on demo workshops and great food options for bellies all of kinds. I munched on vegan wraps and salads, mashed sweet potatoes and Coconut Bliss ice cream all three days. It’s a family-oriented mini vacation option if you’re interested in a weekend of education and entertainment.

We loved attending the MENF in Asheville last year, but there’s nothing quite like the Seven Springs event. For starters, it’s the only three-day MENF (all other MENF’s run Saturday and Sunday)… meaning you get an extra day of fun!

Seven Springs Mountain Resort is a popular winter attraction in SW Pennsylvania, but it’s just as gorgeous in the late summertime. Taking in the mountain scenery and watching the ski lift glide up the trails while exploring vendors and munching on free food samples makes for a weekend well spent.

Seven Springs is only an hour drive from our Pittsburgh offices, so we really like the convenience of the show too!

This year, we got to catch up with three of our authors: Sue Goetz (The Herb Lover’s Spa Book), Lisa Ziegler (Cool Flowers) and Jenny Bardwell (Salt Rising Bread). These ladies know how to fill a room with enthusiastic listeners! Sue and Lisa are regular speakers at the MENF in Seven Springs and this was Jenny’s first time at the event.

Overall, we sold lots of books and enjoyed a sunny weekend in the mountains. It was wonderful seeing old friends, making new ones and hanging out with customers who come by our booth every year.
