We’re two days away from Independent Bookstore Day ’17!
What is Indie Bookstore Day?
IBD is a one-day national celebration of indie bookstores that takes place every year on the last Saturday of April. Basically, it’s a magical party celebrating BOOKS! And every store celebrates the day in their own magical way.
They typically feature author readings, live music, snacks, free coffee, kids events, contests and exclusive books and other literary-themed items.

We think of bookstores as more than just stores. They are community centers where people can share ideas, passions, and best of all, a love for books. And as an indie publisher, we really, really love our books, bookstores and booksellers!
Lots of people believe indie bookstores are a dying breed because online book retailers and e-books have made accessing a book much easier. (For the record, we love online retailers and e-books too, just in different ways.) But if you stop into your local independent bookshop, you’ll find these shops have their very own heartbeat, and they continue to grow and expand because of readers like you!
How will you celebrate IBD this year?
